PLMR Genesis celebrates four team promotions following recent acquisition
Suffolk-based PR and marketing agency, Genesis, has announced four team promotions after being recently acquired by PLMR – one of the UK’s most successful and fastest-growing communications agencies.
PR and marketing specialist Joe Tye, who was also recently shortlisted for ‘Young Communicator of the Year’ at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) awards for Anglia, Thames and Chiltern region, has been promoted to Senior Account Manager, while Naomi Day received a promotion to Account Manager, following a year of developing successful communications campaigns for clients.
A further two promotions were made to support the growing digital team, with SEO and digital advertising specialist Jack Alderton promoted to Senior Digital Account Manager and James Smith promoted to Digital Account Manager after just nine months since joining PLMR Genesis.
The news follows an unprecedented year in which the agency has continued to grow, taking on six new retained clients over the year and growing its team to 23.
Genesis was also announced as ‘PR Consultancy of the Year’ for the third year in succession at the regional CIPR awards held last month along with eight other awards for outstanding client campaigns.
Simon Darby, Director of East of England, PLMR, said: “ The Genesis team are brilliantly talented consultants and I am consistently blown away by the wide skillsets of my colleagues as well as Genesis’ wider commitment to support continuous development and career progression.
“All four of these talented communications professionals have shown a clear desire to develop their skills and create impactful outcomes for clients. They are all very deserving of these promotions.”
The acquisition of Genesis will brings together its many strengths with PLMR’s existing capabilities in the region to establish one of the largest and most accomplished communications agencies in the East of England, while integrating training and development opportunities to support individual career progression.
One of these opportunities have included the introduction of a Graduate Training Programme to support young communications professionals joining from university.
Joe Tye said: “I’m thrilled to be promoted to Senior PR Account Manager since starting as an Account Executive over four years ago and developing my skills throughout. The PLMR acquisition has also been really exciting as it will open doors to further career opportunities for all of the team.”
Jack Alderton said: “It has been a fantastic few years working at Genesis and I’m delighted with my promotion to Senior Digital Account Manager. With the pandemic creating a greater emphasis on digital marketing, it’s a pleasure to work with our clients to deliver strong, measurable outcomes.”
