The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS) provides 24 hour accident and emergency services and has a very busy press office team fielding up to 100 media enquiries every week. The enquiries often involve sensitive information which can require liaison with other emergency service partners.

The Challenge

Due to illness and internal pressures, there was a need for interim media relations management for one month, to support the EEAS press office team.

The Solution

After a short and intensive briefing session two PLMR Genesis media relations specialists took responsibility for managing the daily incoming enquiries for information from local, regional and national media providing a fast and efficient turnaround of press statements.

The Outcome

We came up to speed extremely quickly, sourced accurate and appropriate information for inclusion in press statements, turned around approvals within hours and professionally handled the serious and sensitive information involved.

“Thank you PLMR Genesis. You gave a highly professional service to the media. I was impressed by how quickly you were able to work to overcome any challenges that came up as we began working together.”
Isabel Cockayne, Director of Communications and Engagement (Interim)
