Diabetes teams from three Clinical Commissioning Groups in the North Essex and Suffolk NHS Strategic Transformation Partnership (STP) joined up and commissioned PLMR Genesis to create an awareness campaign targeted at people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and their Healthcare Professionals.

The Challenge

PLMR Genesis was tasked with improving referral and take-up of education courses by people newly diagnosed with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Education would be vital to giving the knowledge and confidence to effectively self-manage their condition and would directly impact treatment targets.

The Solution

The two-month My Diabetes campaign had striking creatives, strong calls to action, digital advertising, PR and printed materials for GPs and healthcare professionals. Patients were directed to the microsite and a post code search function linked them with their local diabetes team.

The Outcome

The two-month campaign produced the following results: - 11,696 new website users - 1,710 postcode searches - 285 enquiries for booking education courses
