PlumbStock is part of The Ridgeon Group (now owned by Huws Gray) with over 20 local plumbing trade counters in the East of England. As well as PlumbStock, the Ridgeon Group incorporates Ridgeons Timber & Builders Merchants, Anglia Tool Centre, Ridgeons Forest Products and CRS Wholesale.

The Challenge

In 2017 PLMR Genesis was tasked with delivering marketing communications for the launch of the PlumbStock e-commerce website at and building brand awareness and footfall at the local trade counters.

The Solution

The strategy used SEO, digital advertising, PR and social media to drive website traffic and online sales and to engage the local PlumbStock trade counters with customers and communities. The PR delivery included writing award entries and organising media for new trade counter openings.

The Outcome

The digital campaign for PlumbStock and Ridgeons on Facebook and Google resulted in a 98% return-on-investment (ROI). PR included promoting PlumbStock and Ridgeon Group’s commitment to East Anglia Children’s Hospice (raising over £8,000) and built value in the brand. Award entry writing resulted in winning national industry awards run by Builders Merchants News and Builders Merchants Journal.
